From a common employee to a board chairman of Hunan Xianghong Special Alloy Refinery Co., Ltd., Cheng Shuchu spent 15 years.

Legend of an entrepreneur
Since 1991 at the age of 21, Cheng Shuchu became an employee of Xinhua County Langtang Industrial Silicon Factory, who has run across over 10 provinces and dozens of cities, and visited hundreds of enterprises. Cheng Shuchu thought that, with rapid development of national economy, iron and steel industry was thriving; iron alloy, as food of steel, had a wide, long market in the future
In 2000, he decided to run an enterprise alone. He contracted Langtang Industrial Silicon Factory on the verge of bankruptcy at his hometown, and began to refine high carbon ferro-chrome.
Enterprise declaration from a brand believer
Large scale is not equal to good brand. Cheng Shuchu deeply knows the connotation of a brand. Relying on iron quality, he has stressed on brand construction of enterprise at the beginning.
In order to enhance technical content of Xianghong iron alloy, he has kept a long-term cooperation with universities, which is to keep innovating in refining technology and process conditions of refining furnace, and to enhance purity of the products. The micro-carbon ferro chrome iron alloy produced by Xianghong is main raw material of stainless steel and special steel. Steel quality depends on chrome contents in the iron alloy. Cheng Shuchu deeply understood the significance of “decimal point” about the chrome contents. In order to ensure the “decimal point”, he spent a great sum on employing professionals as production directors from Hunan Iron Alloy Factory, and manufactured according to the requirements of ISO9001 Quality Management System at its beginning.

“Sincere Entrepreneur Spirit and Deep People-loving Emotion.” With the development of his cause, Cheng Shuchu paid more attention to the construction of his hometown. In reconstruction of county-town road, he sponsored over RMB 30,000 in total. As the first enterprise to enter Xinhua Xianghong Industrial Park, he sponsored to build a 3 km road to the industrial park, which greatly promoted the construction of the industrial park. Over the past years, he has sponsored over RMB 50,000 to help disaster-stricken villages. Besides, he also cared about dropouts and lonely seniors, sponsoring about RMB 30,000 to “Hope Project”, and over RMB 20,000 to nursing houses. At end of 2007, he sponsored RMB 50,000 to build Xinhua Chiyou Culture Park.
“Endure great hardships in pioneer work, and create top brand with passion of community”. Under the leadership of Cheng Shuchu, Xianghong was listed into key scale industrial enterprise, and was awarded progressive unit of Xinhua County in industrial production and taxation. In 2004, Cheng Shuchu was elected as the vice president of Business Association of Xinhua County, and a member of the Municipal Committee of CPPCC. In 2005, he was awarded “Outstanding Constructor of Chinese Socialism Cause” by Loudi city. In 2006, he was awarded Excellent Member of Loudi Committee of CPPCC.
